I've eaten at other buffet's in other casinos, especially during the weekdays, and I would never eat there again. They offer a wide variety and the food is fresh. If you do decide to stay on the property, you won't be disappointed, as the rooms are done in good taste, with large picture windows to looking at wooded scenery. The rooms at the hotel there are not inexpensive, but there are other hotels in the area that are a short distance and offer shuttle service.
There is an extended drive from the street to the casino, which is in itself, very pleasant, as the casino is set in the back on acres of clear property. Security is good, although I don't recall anyone ever causing any type of unpleasant scene there, and many times it has been crowded when my husband and I have been there. It has just about everything a Las Vegas casino has. The casino was well thought out and planned in very good taste. Just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Chicago, it's worth the trip. If you're looking for a Las Vegas feel, but don't want to spend the money for the airfare and other expenses associated with out of state travel, this casino is for you.
